I created a new Storyline project last week and saved it. I've tried opening it now and it comes up with a pop up saying I need Articulate Localization open it. I didn't use Articulate Localization to create it so I'm not sure why it's asking this. When I click 'save languages as projects' it asks me to select a folder. Then it just opens the folder with nothing new in it. When I click 'cancel' it does nothing. I can't open the project at all. Has anyone else had this issue?17Views0likes1CommentHindi Font Rendering Issue in Safari and Mozilla Firefox
Hi, We have created a course in Articulate Storyline in Hindi. During testing, we noticed that the Hindi matras are not rendering properly in Mozilla Firefox and Safari browsers. Please refer to the enclosed screenshots for examples of the issue. We have already tried using different fonts, including Google Noto Sans Devanagari and other Hindi-native fonts. However, the rendering issue is still appearing. Course details: Articulate Storyline version: Latest version Language: Hindi Issue observed in: Mozilla Firefox and Safari Issue type: Hindi matras not rendering correctly Fonts tested: Google Noto Sans Devanagari and other Hindi-supported fonts Could you please review this issue and suggest a possible solution or workaround?35Views0likes2CommentsAutoplay Youtube videos in Storyline
Hello! I need help with auto playing my YouTube videos. Is it still true that it won't work in Chrome? The embed code is: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/3Op4hV4Hkcg" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen=""></iframe> Also, once the video is done how do I get the slide to auto advance?51Views0likes2CommentsAi Tutor localization
I’m trying to use the AI Tutor in the Rise360 courses developed by my team. All of our courses are originally created in Italian, but the option to localize the AI Tutor through the setup Labels is limited to only 4 entries, which is clearly insufficient. The XLIFF file does not contain any additional AI Tutor strings, and the only way to localize the chat into Italian — which is essential for our end users — is to use the paid localization feature available. However, since all our courses are already in Italian, we would have to pay for localization for every course without actually translating any content, except for the few chat interface phrases. This does not seem reasonable. Why is it not possible to localize the interface beyond just a handful of entries (which at that point become almost irrelevant)?13Views0likes0CommentsStoryline 360 Multi language timelines changing on publish
Hi, Running the latest (May 12/2026) version of Storyline, but this was happening prior to that as well. I have an English file I've translated to Spanish. So 2 languages. I adjust the timelines per language so that the timelines end at the end of the audio track thus giving the user an accurate seekbar based on language. This used to be just fine a couple months ago. Now, if I publish, it extends the English (shorter) timeline to be the same length as the Spanish thus leaving "dead air" at the end of the English timeline. This only happens if I publish. Before I publish I have this: After I publish I have this: If I save, close and reopen the file I have this: Anyone else have this issue and how did you fix it if you do? Thanks, Lori13Views0likes0Comments🔎Lost In Translation🔎
Have you ever encountered an idiom that makes no sense, a word that has no direct equivalent, or a word that comes with unexpected connotations while translating? You’re not alone! Translating takes tremendous skill, and localizing requires significant understanding of both the initial language and culture, as well as the language and culture you’re localizing for. But wait, you may be asking… 📍What’s the difference between localization and translation? Localization Translation Takes into consideration the cultural, social, and connotative aspects of language Rendering from one language into another Example: Example: Car Park (Australian/UK English) Parking Lot (United States English) Log (Record, piece of wood, mathematical abbreviation) Bûche (piece of wood, de noel cake) Common translation issues are idioms, direct translations, and proper nouns. Localization errors are more commonly about context and consistency. Localization can take place even within the same language! 🗨️What's your favorite example of localization vs translation? 🔬Haven’t had a chance to try? Check out our new localization features now! I want my data on an EU server but that seems impossible. I started using Articulate 5 years ago. Than there was no EU server. I did build courses and now I could not send a copy of a course to a customer I builded the course for. I see it as my content and I want to migrate to a EU server. But this is a service that Articulate does not offer. Does any now how solve this? Or perhaps some experts of the organisation can solve this for me. Hi Team, We are currently working on a UiPath automation requirement integrated with Articulate Storyline 360, where we need precise synchronization between media playback (video/audio) and individual on-screen UI elements/components. The requirement is to trigger UiPath automation actions based on exact timestamps or interaction points during media playback — similar to element-level cue points or timeline event hooks available in some advanced authoring platforms. The automation flow depends on accurately identifying when specific elements appear, change state, or complete their animations. However, during implementation, we observed that Articulate Storyline primarily supports slide-level timeline triggers and does not seem to expose native APIs or event listeners for element-level cue point synchronization. Because of this limitation, achieving accurate real-time synchronization for UiPath automation is becoming challenging. We explored multiple approaches including: Timeline triggers JavaScript event listeners Media completion triggers Variables with polling mechanisms DOM inspection through browser automation Web object integrations However, none of these approaches currently provide reliable frame-accurate or element-specific synchronization needed for stable UiPath automation. We would like to know: Is there any supported method in Storyline to create or simulate element-level cue points? Can JavaScript access the internal media timeline with enough precision to trigger external automation events? Are there any recommended workarounds, custom scripting methods, or integrations that could help support UiPath automation use cases? Has anyone successfully implemented similar automation-driven synchronization in Storyline 360? Any suggestions, guidance, or alternative approaches would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.38Views0likes0Comments
