Hello, I've built a script that extracts the text from a course by loading up und.js or en.js files found in the locales folder (locales folder can be found in scormcontent folder). What I've seen is, not all scorm packages have a "locales" folder inside "scormcontent" folder. I'm curious if this is a bug or if it has something to do with the Language Localization. What influences the absence of "locales" folder from "scormcontent" folder ? Thanks :)14Views0likes0CommentsShow layer displays solid white using variable.
Hi all! Any advice and help would be greatly appreciated. I believe I am overthinking this scenario and there is a better way but this is what I have. I open to any feedback. Scenario: The learner will view a video. Seek bar is disabled until video is complete. When video is complete, a slide layer becomes visible giving an instruction. Slide layer goes hidden if learner drags seek bar to rewatch any part of video. Current Slide Triggers: Set variable VideoRestarted to True when timeline starts. Show layer when timeline ends on slide (Condition: If VideoRestarted = False) Issue: When layer shows in preview and published, the layer is solid white not showing instruction. So the actions with the variable are working kind of. If I delete the variables and just do a slide trigger of show layer when timeline ends on this slide. It shows the layer with instructions just fine. Any thoughts, please?26Views0likes6CommentsFeature Request- Multiple Numeric Questions on the same slide
Hello! I wanted to submit a feature request-- allowing for multiple numeric questions on the same slide. For example, having 2 numeric boxes on the same slide. The answer to part A would be any number between 2 & 3, and the answer to part B would be any number between 7 & 8. I know that there are manual ways to get around this, but creating multiple fields with answers 'between these numbers' is very time consuming, manual work. Allowing for multiple numeric fields on the same slide would quickly eliminate a lot of work! Please reach out with any questions-- thank you!17Views0likes1Comment✨ Friday Fun Prompt: What’s Your “Dream Build”?
It’s Friday, so let’s daydream a little… If you could build any e-learning project, with no limits, what would it be? We all have that one idea that’s been in the back of our minds… maybe it’s too big, too niche, or you’re just waiting for the right time (or tools). 🎯 Share your “dream build” in the comments! This could be: A concept you’ve always wanted to explore A course you’d create if tools/time weren’t a constraint Something you started but never finished (yet!) 💬 Bonus: What’s holding it back, and what would help you get started? Can’t wait to see what’s on your e-learning wish list!208Views2likes19CommentsAcronym in a different language in the same voiceover
Hi everybody, I'm trying to solve this problem. I have a lesson that is in Dutch but I would like the acronyms in the voiceover to always be pronounced in English. I tried using the syntax <say-as interpret-as="characters">IID</say-as> but I always get different results and rarely the correct ones. Any suggestions? Thank youFinally — A Modern Open-Source LMS Built for the Corporate World
Hi Everyone, If you’re an eLearning developer or instructional designer working with small businesses, companies, or private clients, you’ve probably faced this challenge at some point — finding a cheap yet reliable corporate LMS. Those of us using tools like Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or other authoring tools that require an LMS for hosting know how limited the options can be. Open-source platforms like Moodle are great, but they’re not really built for a corporate environment. The interface often feels outdated, and even with themes, the SCORM player tends to open courses as if they’re separate applications. This can look unpolished — especially on mobile devices — which is a concern for most of us. With all this in mind, I decided to build an LMS tailored for corporate environments. The system includes all the essential features needed in a modern LMS, and I’ll soon be releasing it as an open-source project. I’m still working out the hosting and storage solutions, since developers often use large image and video assets that can quickly increase hosting requirements. I’m currently looking for sponsors or collaborators who would like to support or contribute to this project. A big thank-you to the developers who have already joined me — your input has been invaluable! You can try out the LMS here (temporary link): 👉 https://lms.buyelearningcourses.com/ It’s free for anyone to explore. Once you register, your account will need admin approval — I’ll be approving new users once or twice daily as time allows. A full public demo will be launched soon on the official website, where users can download the source code and host it themselves. The backend is built with PHP, making it easy and affordable to host — even on shared hosting plans. In the official demo, I’ll include both user and admin panels for testing. For now, admin access is restricted on this temporary version to prevent changes to demo data, but the live release will allow full interaction. If you try it out, I’d love your feedback! Please share any missing features or suggestions you’d like to see included in the first public version. You can view the Feature Overview here: 👉 https://mylms.buyelearningcourses.com/ Thanks for your support, and I’m excited to see this project grow with the community’s input. Hello! My organization is launching its first LMS, and I am planning on importing a bunch of the Real Content, especially the "Next Big Idea Club" courses. Is there anyway to get an estimated course length for these completed trainings? Obviously, if we edit the trainings the length will change, but if we just import the content as-is, can we get a default value for estimated course length?14Views0likes1CommentNot able to install the Articulate 360 desktop apps in a (windows) virtual machine
Hi. I am trying to install the Articulate 360 desktop apps onto a (Windows) Virtual Machine, as I'd like to use the screen recording in Articulate Storyline to create training videos and manuals. (It's for training a new data capturing system). I log into my Articulate 360 account, navigate to the "download desktop apps" button, click that, then click the "start download" button on the pop-up, download the file, open the file, click run, click install and then get an error 800704EC. I've attached the screens. Am I missing something? Or doing something wrong?12Views0likes1CommentHow to Indicate Audio is Available to the User
We are looking for some guidance/best practices on informing the user when audio is available: When audio contains more details than displayed on the screen. How do you let your users know that? For example, if the block has header, (small paragraph of info), then list of bullet items followed by the audio at the bottom. I saw the attached note in a training and love it but it doesn't meet our question. Also, do you suggest something used throughout the course or just on the intro slide? Thank you!50Views0likes6CommentsDesigning an interactive for a museum screen - which software?
Hi, We've been grated a permanent space at a local Science Museum and we are thinking about designing interactives for kids to do - possibly on iPads or similar. We've been told everything would need to run offline. This isn't my usual area - usually designing Storyline or Rise modules to be viewed by online learners. Has anyone managed to use Storyline in this way? Or do you know of other software that would be better for this? Many thanks!23Views0likes1Comment
