Interactions are a handy way to break up content. But if you’re looking to branch out from the typical tabs or accordion approaches, try this click-and-reveal instead. This interaction makes adult learning principles more approachable thanks to a friendly color scheme, cohesive illustrations, and gentle animations. And while it still has similar functionality to a traditional tabs interaction, the unexpected layout makes the experience feel fresh and enticing. Explore this project. If you've used motion paths, you've probably been frustrated by the need to have separate paths to move an object back and forth. Wouldn't it be great if the Move trigger let you choose between moving in the original direction of the path or simply reversing that direction!?! I envision the Trigger Wizard for this feature looking something like in the attached photo. I submitted an official feature request years ago. Maybe it'll help if more folks do that. Games can be an amusing way to pass the time, but they can also encourage people to engage thoughtfully with complex and difficult topics. The Re-Entry Journey, winner of DemoFest’s Best Game-based Project award at DevLearn 2023, shows how much of an impact learning experiences like this can have on players. In this Storyline 360 game, learners take on the role of someone reentering society on probation. They start the game with what at the surface might appear to be a simple goal—make it to the end of their probation period without incurring additional playtime or added penalties. But that seemingly basic task is incredibly challenging in real life, with the deck stacked against people right from the beginning. To simulate that experience, this game is intentionally difficult and weaves in many of the complex real-world choices that people face in this situation. While the gameplay in The Re-Entry Journey may be challenging, the process used to create it was not! This game was developed almost entirely using Storyline 360’s built-in features, with JavaScript only stepping in to help with the timer. Built on a single slide with multiple layers, most of the magic happens thanks to one of Storyline 360’s core features—triggers. It just goes to show how far you can push Storyline 360 to create unexpected learning experiences. Explore this project. Hi Articulate! While I appreciate the ability to download a Parallels system to run Storyline on my Mac, the Parallels system takes up ~180GB of space on my computer. Also Parallels costs $99.99/yr. ITS TIME to create a Mac-native storyline app. Many designers and creatives use Mac for the enhanced UX for art creation, and I'm tired of moving files around constantly to make room for a program that essentially takes up ~180GB. So that's an extra $99.99/yr plus the need for external harddrives to run what should be a 1GB program with solely its own subscription costs. Anyone else curious as to why Articulate hasn't made a Mac-friendly Storyline app yet? Would love to generate some discussion and get a fire lit under Articulate...Especially since iSpring, Elucidat, Captivate, and Camtasia are all Mac-friendly already...seems like Articulate might lose a good amount of customers if they dont get Mac friendly!112Views7likes4Comments
