Cannot figure out Scoring Issue

Aug 23, 2021

I'm new to Storyline and am lost as to why the scoring of one of my quizzes fails the test taker even if they get 1 wrong.  I have 9 slides, 8 of them being T/F and 1 of them being a multi-choice answer.  I have never made a quiz from anew, have strictly been copying and editing existing quizzes which has been fine up until now.  I'm not sure if I need to change the "points" you get for a correct answer, or change the attempts to a number where they won't fail, I just don't know where to begin.  Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.  I never worked with Storyline before and was kind of thrown into with no training.   I should also mention that the quizzes are taken in the LMS platform.

Hi, Amy, and welcome to E-Learning Heroes! ✨

If you can share your .story file here, I'm certain others in the community can help you figure out why the test takers fail every time they take it.

I also wanted to share some resources that will help you learn about quizzes in Storyline:

Hi, Amy.

Thank you for sharing the .story file!

Your first question (slide 1.2) is set to 10 points for the correct answer, while all the other ones give the user 1 point per correct answer:

If the user gets the first question incorrect, then mathematically, they cannot reach 80% even if they answer all the other ones correctly.

You can adjust the point value by switching to Form View:
