Arabic on ipad ios

I'm making a translated version for Arabic language of my wbt and on there seems to be an issue on newer models and ios as it displays squares instead of some characters, but this issue doesn't happen on older devices. Has anyone run into this issue?
A newer ipad:
An older ipad with ios <14.0

I've tried: changing the font, changing the browser, going through online emulators (everywhere it's the same)

on iOS there is ONLY one browser engine - maybe the EU will force apple to change that

this are - as far as I know - real iPads with installed exactly this one browser engine

Hi, yes they should be real ipads, also the client used ipads to test this so the issue is not just on our side. I've trired using chrome as well as safari.

I have tested with a special Arabic font -> Noto Sans Arabic
I have installed only* "static/NotoSansArabic-Light"
result on iPad (iOS 16.4)
font size and line height different BUT all characters are visible
* I had problems, if I had installed the whole font family (result was always bold)
