Course freezing and next button disappearing when used in LMS

May 19, 2017

Hello everyone, I'm hoping one of you can help me out. Just recently my company has started experiencing freezing and disappearing Next buttons in my courses when it worked perfectly for several months prior. The issue occurs in different browsers as well as different devices including iPad, other tablets and desktops. We usually use Chrome as our browser, disable pop-ups, clear the cache and ensure flash is enabled but none of that worked. I usually publish to flash and HTML5 so I assume I would never have these sort of issues. It appears that flash is being disabled somehow and the HTML5 is not working either. I am totally stuck and I have a lot of pressure to figure this out quickly. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks for your response Brian. The confusing part of it is that the problem is not consistent between the users as I do not have the issue on my desktop and most users can progress with no problems. However a small group of people cannot move forward and are waiting on a solution. Articulate Support has been looking into this for days now with still no solution as well as our IT dept. I wanted to use all my available resources.

Leslie, I just found a link to what appears to be the exact same problem I am having in a post from about 2 years ago. I see an interim fix, which I am testing right now but no solid solution for the problem in the future so I am a little worried about creating content for my future courses. I tried the solution offered by the Inspire Group but that didn't seem to help although maybe I'm still not doing something quite right?

Welcome to E-Learning Heroes, Maria! 😊

This thread is a bit outdated, so I'd like to gather some clues.

  • Does this issue only occur after uploading the course into your LMS? As a first step, I'd recommend testing in a different LMS environment like SCORM Cloud to see if you notice the same behavior. Here are those steps.

We're happy to take a closer look if you can share your project with us here. We'll reach out with our findings soon after!
