Hi, everyone!
I have some great news to share. We just released another update for Storyline 360. In Update 73, we’ve included important fixes and new features!
One new feature we’ve included:
Boost video accessibility by including closed captions when publishing projects as MP4 video files.
To take advantage of this update, launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer, and click the Update button next to Storyline 360. You'll find our step-by-step instructions here.
Please let me know if you need additional help!

I don't think Storyline offers this feature.
Yeah, I think you are right. They need to add this feature.
Thanks Sam
Hey Liz,
Thanks for letting us know that this is a feature you would like to see as well.
We are tracking a feature request to include the closed captions when publishing to MP4 and I've added this conversation as we track user requests and also so that we can share any updates with you here.
My team could use this feature as well! Thanks!
As we look to be more inclusive with our videos and training, we need to be able to include closed captioning on our videos as they are a quick and easy way to get short information and training out to staff. Thank you.
Hello Articulate team is there any update on adding closed captions when exporting to video? This conversation thread is almost 2 years ago but I have noticed this is STILL not possible. Otherwise can anyone suggest a workaround?
Hi Ian,
We still don't have any updates regarding this feature. I've added your voice to the open feature request that we have for 'Closed Captions for courses that are published to video' so we can be sure to notify you as soon as an update is released. You can check out which features are being worked on by visiting our roadmap, and here's a quick look at how we manage feature requests.
I would like to export out the MP4 and include the closed captioning in the video.
I am including the audio files and entering the closed captions in each slide. Bit the closed captions do not export embedded in the video file. Is there a way to turn this on?
Hi Kathleen,
While not currently a feature, we have a request logged for close captions to be exported along with the video file. If it makes it on our feature roadmap, you'll be updated in this discussion.
Thanks for reaching out!
