Intermittent Bookmarking Issue in LMS

Hi,

I am experiencing intermittent bookmarking issue with a course that was published for SCORM 1.2 in Storyline v3.52.252. The bookmarking is inconsistent. Sometimes it bookmarks the exact page or 2 pages behind and sometimes it doesn't bookmark at all. I have tried it in different browsers and the results are the same. It doesn't seem like its an issue with the suspend data since it is bookmarking but inconsistently. 

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • How do you have your Player Resume set? Prompt to Resume or Always Resume?
  • Are you able to replicate this behavior when testing in SCORM Cloud, or is the issue limited to your LMS?

I'd recommend connecting with one of our support engineers here so they can help troubleshoot! Once done testing, they will reach out with the next step!

Hello Becca,

Thanks for your response. I have my Player Resume setting set to "Prompt to Resume". I have not tested this in SCORM Cloud. 

I tested a couple of other courses on our LMS in Edge and IE. Almost all of them bookmarked my progress correctly in IE but none of them bookmarked in Edge. I also discovered something strange in Edge. When I used the Exit button in the player to exit out of the course, it bookmarked my progress correctly but when I just closed the browser window, it either didn't bookmark my progress at all or took me back a couple of slides.

The course mentioned in my original post has intermittent bookmarking issues on both browsers. I have opened a ticket with the support engineers and waiting for their response now.
