This is a very long video expressing my problem- sorry about that! When I preview and publish a specific multi-layer slide, I am unable to progress forward in the course after moving through that slide. Please let me know if more information would be helpful to troubleshoot this problem :)

I did not notice anything on the list of triggers on slide 1.21 that could be causing this issue. However, it might be an issue with slide 1.22 instead.
