Hi Leslie,
Thanks for responding but I really need to know if Articulate will fix this or not. I have been patient and waiting for years now and I get the feeling that Articulate has no intention fixing it. If it will be fixed, Articulate should by now be able to give a preliminary date. If it won't be fixed, you must be honest and let me know so I can look for an alternative eLearning solution. Sorry for being outspoken about this but it puts me and my clients into trouble.
Hi Martin,
Thank you for the follow-up. As Becca and Leslie mentioned, we're in the planning stages of adding this feature to Storyline 360, so there isn't a preliminary date set.
To set expectation, it's unlikely to be implemented in the next few updates. I'm sorry if that puts you and you clients in a bind, but I did want to share that so that you can make the best decision going forward.
Hi everyone! Was this feature added to Storyline 360?
I am working on a Storyline that has closed captions and when I publish to video, closed captioning won't play. Also, the Player.DisplayCaptions variable set to true (as Michael mentioned earlier) is not working. Is there another workaround?
Help! Thanks!
Hello Shaira, and welcome to E-Learning Heroes. 😊
This feature has not been implemented yet. This conversation is still attached so that we can share updates with you here, and you should now be subscribed to this conversation.
Accessibility is a priority, it would be great if we could get this feature. Thanks!
I'd also like to be updated on this, it is really needed in our institution!
Hi, just wondering if there has been any update? I am creating a series of videos and will need closed captioning functionality.
Hello Sara, and welcome to E-Learning Heroes!
This feature has not been implemented yet. I've attached this conversation to the request for this feature so that we can share updates with you here, and you should now be subscribed to this conversation.

I am adding my request for this feature into this thread as well. We need to be able to see our closed captions when exporting the Storyline to video.
Over the past months of trying to get this to work, I have implemented a work around. I have installed the captions trigger as suggested by a previous community member and then have published my Storyline 360 to Review 360 and uploaded to my Rise course as a Storyline block instead of a video.
Hello Mary,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
We appreciate you sharing your workaround with the E-Learning Heroes Community!
We will update this forum with any news and updates on this feature request.
Have a wonderful afternoon! ☀️
Any more updates on when allowing closed captioning on storyline 360 published videos might happen?
Adding my vote for this feature as well.
Hi I add my vote for the closed captions function when publishing to video thanks
Hello. Wanting to keep this on someone's radar, but it doesn't seem to be getting far. Can someone know how we can seriously request this as a feature. It doesn't seem that customers asking through this type of forum is really helping, sadly. I would think after the 4 year mark Articulate would see a need to add this feature. Can someone from Articulate tell us how to bump this up through the correct channels?
Hi Natalie,
I can confirm that when publishing for video, closed captions are not included since there are no player elements included. Rest assured that we are already monitoring an open feature request for this; I've added your voice to it.
This request is on our radar but has yet to make it to our feature roadmap. You are in the right place, and we'll surely let you know if anything changes!
Adding my voice to the call for this feature.
This is on the roadmap and in development

Has the problem of CC to the video after publishing got resolved?
Hi Yuvaraj,
Welcome to E-Learning Heroes! I understand you'd like to know if closed captions can be included in projects that are being published to video. I'm happy to report that you can do that in Storyline 360! Here's some more information about this feature. If you are not able to utilize this feature please let us know here or open a support case with our support engineers.

THANK YOU
Hi Jolie!
I just wanted to pop in and share that part of your e-mail signature came through when you replied via e-mail. You can remove that if needed by clicking ‘Edit’ beneath your response.
Hello Steven. Very much appreciated for you to advise that. I did not realize it was being posted to the public board but should have. Thank you again.
