  • A slider would be useful if you want them to be able to pause part way and/or go back. Otherwise, a motion path is the way to go.

  • Hello Malvika,

Using a slider would be beneficial for you if you prefer to do away with the layers, but you can also use the layer method as well. This design inquiry is entirely up to you and will ultimately depend on which method you're most comfortable with.

Here's another method which makes use of variables to track which birdhouse the bird should be on for your reference.

I'm also curious to hear what the community thinks is the better option, so let's open the floor up to them!

      Hi Joe,

The variable at my end reflects as attached. Isn't it different from what you used?

      Regards

      Malvika

  • Hi Sanchit,

Thanks for the follow-up! To clarify, when are you seeing what's in the image you shared? Is that in the file Joe provide? The Trigger Wizard looks like this on my end.

    Looking forward to your response!

Under Operator, I just have two options - Assignment and Non Assignment.

While under your file, Operator has option for Add, Subtract, Division.

  • Hi Sanchit,

Can I ask if you are using the latest version of Storyline 360, or possibly Storyline 3?

Additionally, it looks like you're having trouble with your design. If you give us a little more detail on what you’re trying to accomplish, I’m sure one of our talented community members will have suggestions for you.

  • You can only add, subtract, etc if the variable was created as a numeric variable, not a T/F or Text variable.

Got it. This is solved now.

Used variable instead of Motion Paths.
