Allow/Disallow dragging seekbar only on selected slides
Hello folks,
I have seekbar enabled on all the slides. Since I am using the modern player, dragging seekbar is allowed. So learners can drag the seekbar as per their choice. However, for some slides, I do not want the learner to drag the seekbar as it might hamper with certain interactions I have kept on the timeline.
Currently all I can do is, go to slide properties and remove the seekbar for those slides.
Is there a way where I can still have the seekbar on all the slides and disallow dragging of seekbar only for few slides?
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you all in advance.
Hi Karan,
Welcome to the E-Learning Heroes community!
I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing this issue and I appreciate you taking the time to share what you’d like to see in Storyline 360. We currently have a feature request logged for a conditional seekbar for each slide. I’ll go ahead and include your voice. We’ll update this discussion if this feature makes it on our feature roadmap.

I am wondering If there is a way to use javascript to make the seek bar read only for a few slides?

Is the "conditional seekbar for each slide" feature request going ahead? Thanks
Hi Lisa!
Thanks for checking in on this!
I don't have any updates to share at the moment as our development team has been prioritizing other features. I've added you to the feature report so you can be notified if it makes it to our Feature Roadmap!
For your reference, here's a deeper look at how we manage feature requests.

Hi
Until this feature is in place is it possible to set a trigger that the user cannot move to the next slide until the timeline has completed?
I wondered about the Next Trigger 'Slide.ElapsedTime' on the next button but don't understand how this one works.
Thanks.
Dot
Hi Dorothy!
Happy to help with this!
I've included you in the feature request and will provide updates if it makes it onto our Feature Roadmap.
In the meantime, I wanted to share steps you can take to disable the Next button until the timeline has completed on a side. If you needed to apply this setting globally across your Storyline course, one way to achieve that would be to set the Menu to Restricted.
- Here's a quick screen recording walking you through those steps!
Please let me know if you have any more questions!

I think this feature might be very useful as I deal with quite a few videos, so please add me to this feature request.
Thanks
Patricia
