Why a morph animation isn't included is a good question. My guess is, unless there is some model that could be dropped in, programming a morph procedure would be fairly difficult.
Look at the "spin" animation. It only lets you spin 90°, 180°, or 360°. I can't imagine why they didn't add a 10° increment. It would be exceeding easy to add. Forcing spins into right angle turns is stone age. I can do it with JavaScript, but it is kind of a nuisance and creates problems if someone drags the scrub bar.
