Articulate 360 Peek Window issues
I apologize is this is covered elsewhere, but I didn't see it if it is. I have dual monitors because I find it easier to develop that way (pull up material in Word on one screen, copy into Storyline on the other). The Peek screen recorder seems to be a bit confused by that. When I try to record something, the "window" that shows up is about four inches from the screen I choose.
For example, if I choose "full screen" of the monitor on my left, it puts the red box mostly in the middle of the two monitors instead of fully over the left side. I am posting a screen shot of where the window goes on this page for an example (attached). The weird thing is that it will record the screen as if it is in the proper place (though does record the line of record box itself). If I move it with the move crosshairs to cover the window fully over the where I want it, it does not record correctly (it acts offcenter). I've tried playing with various things in Properties to see if it is a "compatability" thing, but haven't found an answer yet. Anyone have any ideas?

I'm having this issue as of today, years after this thread was started. (see my test run video attached for proof/example of issue)
It is unrealistic to tell people to disconnect their second monitor, as so many office set ups have this now and most of us need it to do our jobs properly (including having a script on the other screen). Just wanted to come in and update that this is still an issue, and a big one at that.
I love Articulate products when they work, but their inability or unwillingness to fix longstanding issues is a huge problem considering the price tag for 360.

I agree with Nicole, in fact I am very annoyed with Articulate for not addressing this age old problem, perhaps they are not getting the message, we need to shout louder at them in a non threatening constructive way.
I personally have given up with Peek and use another app that works very well.

Any updates on this issue after 4 years?
Hello, Jesus Diez!
Thanks for checking in.
Though we don't have an update to share at this time, we'll keep you posted on any new information. For now, let us know if any of the tips above help.
If you're still hitting a roadblock with Peek 360, our Support team is happy to jump in!
Hi Delora,
You mentioned an attachment, but there wasn't anything included here. Can you try to upload it again by visiting this forum discussion and using the "Add Attachment" button? Also what Windows version are you using so that we can try and replicate this set up with our own Peek and dual monitor set ups.

Thanks DeLora for the image - it is something that we reported to our QA team as a software bug. Depending on priority and risk, some bugs can be fixed quickly, while others take longer to resolve. Here's more information on how we identify and tackle bugs.
I’ll let you know as soon as we have an update on this issue. Thanks so much again for letting us know about this, and I’m sorry if it’s slowing you down.- DeLoraReardonCommunity Member
Thanks much for letting me know. I can't really use Peek until this is
fixed, so please do update me if it is resolved. Thanks!
I absolutely will DeLora as I'd hate to be stuck without Peek, it's my favorite of the Articulate 360 tools as it's so easy to do the screen recordings. Are you able to disconnect the dual monitor set up when you need to do a recording in the meantime?

In general, I can't live without my monitors even for a short time - must
have a dual personality :)I will try Peek at some point with my home setup without monitors. I have
an older version of Captivate I can use for Screen Capture in the meantime
though.Thanks.
LOL - I understand, lots of my coworkers feel the same. I like to be a bit more mobile so learned to use laptop only. Extra screen feels like a bonus!
Have you tried any of the other screen recording tools in Articulate 360 to see if they're giving you the same issue? Replay 360 and/or screen recording in Storyline would be something I'd look to before before defaulting to an older version of...ahem, Captivate. :)
Thanks for giving that a try too - I'll include that detail in the report with our team as well.

Hi
I was looking for the same answer. No matter where I set the parameters of the recording, it seems to actually record about 3 inches left of where I placed the record area. I don't know if this is related to two screen or not, but so far I can't use these record options - which is really a bummer.
Hi Karyn,
Have you tried just disconnecting it from your second monitor? I haven't run into this issue with my dual monitors, but I keep them as separate desktops not just stretched across the screen. It's something our team is still evaluating, so we'll keep you posted here once we have some updates on this!
