Articulate Rise - Disable Video Seek Bar
I intend to upload videos (not embed) in courses created by Rise, is there any where to disable the seek bar so that users cannot fast-forward/ drag the progress bar. The intention is to ensure that they view the full video from start to finish
Hi Paul (and everyone else)!
You can now disable forward seeking in your videos. Take a look at the information here!

Has anyone had issues with the disable seek feature not working on iPhones?
Hi Michelle,
Thanks for reaching out about this! Unlike the video controls on the desktop player, we don't have control over the player on a mobile device. However if "allow forward seeking" is disabled, you should notice that, even though you can scrub forward, the video will jump back to where you left off and begin in the correct spot.

Hi Alyssa - we've noticed that even with the new feature a user can still skip ahead on the video when using a mobile device if they put the video in full screen mode.
Please could you add an option to disable/hide the full screen button on the video toolbar?
Hey there Tom!
Unlike the video controls on the desktop player, we don't have control over the player on a mobile device.
If you disable "allow forward seeking", you can still try to scrub forward, but the video will jump back to where you left off and begin in the correct spot.

Hi Alyssa,
I have a similar experience with Tom Warburton, we have disabled the forward seeking for videos, however, when a learner views the video content on an iPad (video in full screen mode), they are still able to skip ahead.
This scenario can be replicated with the following steps using an iPad:
1) Play video content
2) Click on full screen icon
3) Try dragging the seekbar (video will pause)
4) Click on play icon
5) Video has been fast-forwardedRepeat steps 3 and 4 if you are unable to replicate it.
Can the bug be fixed, else it's a pity that this feature would not be that usable anymore.
Hi Russell -- thanks for checking in on this. We do have this behavior listed as a bug. Even though the mobile device player can be "scrubbed," it shouldn't be playing from the forwarded position.
I don't have an update yet, but I'll make sure the impact on you is properly reflected. We'll share updates here when we can.

Hi Crystal, thanks for the reply. Really hope that it could be fixed so that we can use this feature again, in the mean time, will look for alternative ways to show our video content.
