Audio files changing when using neural voices

Has anyone else experienced a significant change in audio files when converting to neural voices?

The voice quality is wonderful, BUT I have several parts of my project where the audio now doesn't reflect what is written in the text to audio box.  And only shows in review / when timeline plays, so catching it didn't happen until our round of review.  I was hoping it was a one off and erased the entire slide and retyped all the text to speech audio instead of importing from the notes section.  This corrected the issue.  Of course I made a typo and went to correct it, and now my file is playing audio from a completely difference section of my project.

  • Hi Sarah,

Happy to look into this for you!

Hearing text-to-speech audio on random slides is definitely not normal behavior. You'll want to be sure that you're working out of a local directory in your computer to minimize the risk of running into unusual behavior on your file. If you're already working locally, try doing a repair of your Storyline 360 installation to see if this helps.

If the issue with the text-to-speech audio persists, would you mind sharing which text you are entering that is causing the audio to appear in different sections of the course? You can share a copy of your project file here or in private by opening a support case for testing, and we'll delete it when we're done!
