Black Background Around Replay Videos
When I record a screencast directly from Storyline 360, irrespective of the dimensions of my recording area, I can always get it to seemlessly blend into a white background in Rise by using the Light player setting when Publishing to Articulate 360 and then setting the Rise background to white.
However, if I record the screencast using Replay, I end up with black space around the video if it does not match the full resolution of the screen.
Is there any way to change the Replay background to white or should I always record my screencasts from within Storyline to achieve the end result I am after ? (note, I don't always want to record the full screen)

Hi everyone,
Has this issue been resolved? I am finding I cannot even use Replay to edit my videos because it adds the black bars to everything.
Thank you
Hi there, Aziz!
We're still looking into this behavior in Replay, and will update this discussion as soon as we know more.
In the meantime, would you be willing to share the .replay file with us for testing? We'd love to explore your setup to offer tailored guidance. If you're able to share the project, please use this private upload link!

Hi there
I experienced the same/a similar issue this morning. Have I perhaps missed a setting, or is the bug still there?
What happened was I got a black area on the right and bottom of my recording after resizing the recording window.
I found a work-around - I just kept the Replay recording window the size the default size it was when it opened and resized my window to fit in it. Just need to be careful to position the recording window so the recording controls are completely outside the recording window. Then all is good.

Hi,
Has there been an update on this - I'm still experiencing it now. It's frustrating as there are certain parts of a recorded process I need to cut using Replay, but then those videos look different to the rest of my training package.

Thanks for following up, Judith!
I'm sorry to hear you've hit this snag. I can recreate this issue when doing a screen recording in Replay 360. Here's my test.

In the meantime, one of our community members, Jessica, confirmed this workaround was successful.

Has this issue been looked into or resolved in another thread? I just got this for the first time yesterday. I've added a ton of videos to my projects over the past years and this is new. It is extremely ugly and I have been trying to find a work around.
I am working in Rise 360 and have not seen this until yesterday. I create the video using a custom scale of 1856x1080 and upload it to my course. As I was investigating, I found that the block size holding the video in Rise is 1920x1080. The difference between the the block size and the video creates the ugly black stripes on the sides of the video. If the background wasn't black and matched the background of the block, I would take that as a win. If there is a way to fix this or a work around, I'll gladly listen.
The only changes I am aware of is the current updates to Rise.
