Blurry Images.. Still
Hi all,
This seems to be an issue many people are talking about but I can't find a definitive answer without having to trawl multiple threads and links.
It would appear that Storyline is not fit for purpose when it comes to inserting images. Even when I'm trying to use the 'Try-it mode' on screen recording, the start and end frame is blurred regardless of what resolution, size, quality of screen grab I insert into Storyline.
I would think it should be quite simple to do and fix, but appears not to be.
I thought the major selling point of using Articulate was that it 'Automatically scales to mobile and tablet', if the only workarounds (which are far from perfect and still blurred), are fixing image sizes, or player sizes etc.. then this removes the automatic scaling onto mobile devices and means we have to develop the course mobile ready.
I'm in the process of deciding whether as a business we should curate in Articulate, or the Adobe Suite, and this problem is unfortunately making us lean away from Articulate. I've found no way to make these images High Quality and would appreciate an easy way to do this.

It is 2021 now and we can't insert sharp pictures into Storyline 360... This can't be brushed off as a "feature request". I tried everything and still Storyline can't seem to show the original pictures. It's just laughable because Storyline has soo much good features and it is a real machine, but it can't do a basic thing like inserting sharp images. For companies, screenshots are used regularly in e-learnings, tutorials and manuals, so this is really concerning. Hope this get's fixed soon. (My images are smaller than 2048 x 2048 and still appear blurry "There is a maximum image size of 2048 pixels x 2048 pixels. Images that are larger than this will lose quality when inserted into Storyline, which may make them appear blurry or fuzzy.")
Hello Jonas,
Thanks for reaching out to let us know that you're experiencing a lack of sharpness with your images in Storyline 360.
We recommend starting with high-quality images and videos that are already properly sized for your course. Scaling media up or down in your course can cause blurriness.

I want to take a look at your project file (even just a single slide with your image) to investigate what's happening with your permission. You can share it publicly here or send it to me privately by uploading it here. I'll delete it when I'm done troubleshooting.

Oh, it's an issue, Storyline. I love the product, but the image clarity
has been an issue since the start. - JonasDaouaniCommunity Member
Thank you Leslie for your response and willingness to look into it. I've send the file through the private link because it contains some company info.
Cheers!

2 years later, multiple updates to Storyline 360, and images are still a nightmare. Surely this should be something high on the priority list to fix?

Hi,
You said :
"It's our priority"
"I understand"
"I hear your frustration"
Again and again and again. So why is it not fixed four years later?
In production (SL360), my pictures are great, really. In Preview and Chrome, they're hideous! It's like I wasn't wearing my glasses. In Firefox, they're not horrible but not as good as in Storyline.
I didn't scale/resize my pictures in Storyline so the problem doesn't come from me but from thesoftware. I'm begging you: fix this problem. Please, please, please!
I'm so tired to try over and over and over again. Tired to read so many posts with so many no-solutions. And don't tell me "yeah, you can us svg pictures now, it's great" because I have eps pictures and Storyline cannot open it. Inkscape cannot too while Gimp can but not convert them in svg.We pay a software 1500 $ a year but we have blurry pictures, that's not normal.
Please, help us and fix it for real.

I want to add my voice to this. It is beyond frustrating see images that are crystal clear in my capture, and are fuzzy in storyline.
Is there any kind of ETA for when this will be addressed?
Hello Ari!
Thanks for adding your voice here! I completely understand your frustration. Our Engineering team is currently reviewing this bug. When we release a fix, we'll be sure to update this discussion. Unfortunately, I don't have an ETA to share yet.
I've linked your comments to our bug report, so our Engineering team is aware as well.

Same issue over here. It's pretty frustrating and makes the product unusable for many projects that need to integrate software screen shots

I have the same issue and it is extremely frustrating with these blurry images, it looks really ugly and I feel ashamed when I have to publish a training with such bad image quality.
YOU must solve this issue!

I am using storyline native images. When I preview them, they are blurry.

Hi, everyone.
I have great news to share!
We just released another update for Storyline 360. In Update 63, we’ve included important fixes and new features.
One of the fixes we’ve included is:
We improved how Storyline 360 handles images during import and in the published output, resulting in crisper images.
To take advantage of this update, launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer and click the Update button next to Storyline 360. You'll find our step-by-step instructions here.
Please let us know if you have any questions by reaching out to our Support Engineers directly.- TedNguyen-f8061Community Member
Hi Maria,
Is there a way to apply the update to courses that was already delivered to an LMS? Like without republishing and reloading them again with the new update?
Thanks
Ted
Hello Ted!
There isn't a way to update a course without republishing.
We just released Storyline 360 (Build 3.63.27628.0). Can you update Storyline 360 and try to add a Results Slide in your project? If the course is still crashing, do you mind sharing the .story file with us? You can share it with us privately in a support case.
