Branching Courses Based on Learning Group

Please help me solve my challenge regarding personalizing courses based on a unique learning group.

I have a course that has a Padlet Wall that I need to change based on the group the learner is in.  So that the learner only sees the discussion of the participants in their group.

For example: If the learner is in Group A, they take the same course as everyone else until they reach a Padlet Wall activity.  They then select their group and complete the Padlet wall for their group. The learner then continues with the remainder of the course as everyone else.

I need to do this for a course that has 30 different groups.  Otherwise, I would need to duplicate the course 30 times, once for each Padlet Wall.  And I have 20 courses like this.

Can you help me to figure out how to do this in a way that makes sure the learner gets to the correct Padlet wall.

  • How are they getting to the padlet wall activity? Is it embedded into slide as a web object?

The most obvious solution it so offer a group selection that then links to the group. It probably mostly depends on where in the course they identify their group.

I created a tutorial with a few options. Show three ways to add padlets to the course slide and also how to use variables to sort to the correct padlet.

Thank you, Tom.  This was so helpful and worked exactly as you suggested.
