Can a learner resume a Rise course published with Quick Share?

Hello,

We are creating a new training program to include four Rise courses of considerable length. The shortest is 30 lessons and the longest close to 50. Because we do not want to use limited license spots in our LMS, and do not need robust tracking, we planned to publish them for Quick Share and place the published links on our website requiring only the limited info requested of the "guest book" sign in (name, email, etc.). We are currently trying some "beta testing" / quality assurance with some of our staff. The challenge we've encountered is that staff are reporting that when the close out of the course after a period of review, and return, they must start at the very beginning. As I mentioned these are long courses. I have "navigation" set to "restricted" and there are many "locked" dividers requiring interaction in blocks above to move forward.

I am aware of the references to web content "not resuming" in support content, but I assumed, perhaps incorrectly that that referred to embedded content and that since Quick Share did provide some tracking, such as total time spent, that it would resume at the point the learner paused, if they closed their browser. Can anyone provide a suggestion??
