Can I increase the size of Closed Captions?
I love this new option, but the CC is very small.
Is there a way to increase the font size?

Hey Melissa
the size of the captions is linked to the player font size so if you increase the caption text. Extreme example of player font set to 200%

This doesn't work anymore ever since the last "fix" update for SL360. It will still increase the player font but NOT the CC font. Very frustrating

Hi Annette,
I'm sorry that you ran into the issue where closed captions do not change size even if you adjust the font size in the player! We're aware of this and have reported it to our team. We're working through it, and I'll pop back in here to let you know as soon as we have an update. In the meantime, you can revert back to an older version of Storyline 360 if you need to increase the size of the closed captions.- AdamOrtiz-c797eCommunity Member
Thanks, can you loop me in on the fix as well? I am having the same issue
You got it, Adam!

Greetings!
To circle back on Ren and Leslie's posts, Update 37 for Storyline 360 is ready! It holds a fix for the issue where Closed captions didn't change size after adjusting the modern player font size, nor did they display consistently when the
Player.DisplayCaptions
variable was set to true.To see all the enhancements this version has to offer, follow these steps to update your software. You can also view the release notes right here!
Thank you for helping us make these improvements!

I agree that the captions size is way too small, so I tried the workaround suggested by Wendy. Unfortunately however, when I use this method to increase the player font size, the font size increases but the icons do not increase in size, making the buttons look extremely 'out of whack' - see screenshot attached. We need to keep both the icon and the text on the buttons. So unfortunately, I'm unable to use this method to increase the player font size. Is this a known issue that's being worked on? (This is happening with the Modern player in Articulate 360).

Hi Kuriko,
I'm sorry to hear the suggested workaround doesn't work for you! We do have a feature request for the ability to customize closed captions, and I'll be sure to add your plus one to the report.
We don't have plans for this feature yet, but we'll continue to track requests and update this discussion if anything changes!

Hi Ren. Are you saying that the bug I identified above (whereby increasing the player font size causes the font to be out of alignment with the button icons) is only occurring for me? Were you unable to replicate it at your end?

Hi Kuriko,
Apologies for the misunderstanding regarding the workaround for the closed captions, and how it affected the issue you're seeing with the Player buttons.
I did find the bug you referenced regarding the Modern Player buttons, and how they misalign when increasing the player font size. We have it reported to our team, and while I don't have a timeframe for a fix, I'll be sure to jump in here as soon as there's progress to share.
