Can't open 360 photo
Hi, I have two problems with a 360 degree photo. SL 360, Edge browser, Windows through VMware, photo is a .jpg generated by Chatgpt.
- I can insert the image, I can't see it when I preview a slide or scene, but can see it when I publish my project.
- I can't edit the photo/add markers or hotspots. If I try to do this my SL 360 instance locks up.

Did this issue ever get a solution? I was able to add markers and edit 360 photos about two months ago, but now it just shows the loading screen and never lets me edit the 360 photos.

Could you please update to the latest version of Storyline 360, Build 3.127.38181.0, which was released today? This update includes a fix for an issue where inserting, editing, or adding hotspots to 360° images could cause errors while authoring or cause published courses containing 360° images to freeze.
If you’re still experiencing the issue after updating, please open a support case so our engineers can take a closer look at what’s going on!
First try, the latest build does seem to fix the problem.

Something else, then. Do any 360 interactions ever work in your copy of Storyline?
Ok, good to know it works for you, so it's not the image itself. Can I ask for more clarity: what shouldn't be stored on a network drive, Storyline, the source file, or the .jpg itself?
The .story file being on a network drive can cause problems.
It works perfectly here (Windows 11).
If your Storyline is the latest version, the first thing I'd check is that it isn't stored on a network drive. If it isn't, I would reinstall Storyline.
I'm hoping for your sake is isn't a VMWare incompatibility. Does VMWare treat the host system drives as network drives? You might have to copy the file to the VMWare boot drive, if so.
