Can't properly link out to YouTube videos

I have a slide with 3 links. Each link is to take the learner to a YouTube video to hear the specified heart sound.

In the attached file:

Option #1 uses the "_popup" between "watch" and "?" so that it plays without the ads or suggested videos. However, the learner cannot go back to the course because the video takes up the entire window with no functionality to close it.
Option #2 does not use that line of code and on click I get a "YouTube failed to connect" error message.

Here's what I want to happen when the learner clicks a link:

I want the learner to show a layer on click that has the video playing within the course browser window, but scaled smaller so I can add a back button so the learner can go back to the links.

-OR-

I want the learner to click the link and have it take the learner to the YouTube video, without the ads and suggested videos.

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

BTW, I get the same result with Articulate -64 as with the regular version.

  • Hello cynthia!

I'm interested in hearing what other community members suggest! This sounds like more of a code configuration of how YouTube videos are displayed.

I'll stay subscribed to see how others have achieved something similar!
