Caption Balloon Disappears When Zoom Region Hits It
Hey all,
You will be happy to know that I save all the strange issues for you all. :-)
I have a screen recording step-by-step view slide that I added a couple zoom regions to. I also added more caption balloons. There is no problem with the zooms and the balloons I added. However, whenever a zoom region reaches full zoom, the caption balloon that SL added for that step will not show. The balloon either disappears when it is in view as the zoom reaches max or doesn't show at all if the zoom region is already at max when it pans over the caption balloon.
Has anyone else encountered that? Is there a fix?
Thanks all,

Hi, Allen.
Thank you for sharing a video of what you're experiencing!
I attempted to recreate this scenario but didn't come across the same behavior with the zoom region. Are you able to share your file either publicly here or privately through a support case so we can troubleshoot it?

Thanks, Maria. I opened a support case. I'm looking forward to hearing back.

Just to follow up with this thread, it appears I may have found a rather obscure bug. (I love swatting bugs!) The trouble seems to be a conflict between the zoom region and the entrance animation on the object. Removing the animation eliminates the problem.
Thanks all,

Hi, Allen.
Thank you very much for taking the time to update this discussion with the outcome of the case and the current workaround!
Hi Allen,
I wanted to update this discussion to share that we no longer see this issue where shapes with entrance animations disappear when placed inside zoom regions and on top of a video when using the latest version of Storyline 360, Build 3.61.27106.0.
If you or others are experiencing any additional issues using the latest update, don't hesitate to contact our support team directly.
