Caption shape drop shadow bug

Not sure how long this has been a bug but all 3 of our developers are seeing this: If you put the triangle call out on a caption shape on the left side the drop shadow stops rendering half way out. This ONLY happens when you position the triangle on the left side of the caption shape. See attached.

  • Hi, Cortney!

Thanks so much for providing this information to our team. I see you've connected with my teammate, Darrell, on this as well. We'll be sure to update you if we have news to share. In the meantime, please don't hesitate to reach out with additional questions!

  • Heya. I'm also seeing this bug. I'm on SL360 3.79 (I downgraded from the latest version to avoid another bug).

Fun* times using Storyline to make a living :D

I have this bug too, (almost) latest version of SL360, and it doesn't matter which side of the callout the pointer is.

The more diffuse (blurred) the shadow, the better the problem gets.

      Hi Peter!

I've added your voice to the bug report so we can notify you as soon as a fix is available. Thank you for your patience while we work through this issue!

  • I thought it was just me -- Downloaded latest update for 360 (3.94.33593.0) and I am getting the cut off shadow as well, same triangle speech bubble. Not sure if I just never noticed it in earlier editions or it was patched for those.
