Close button on Lightbox not working correctly with JAWS
Our accessibility vendor reports that when using a lighbox, the close button [the X] is not labeled when JAWS users first tab to it. Additionally JAWS users cannot reach it while navigating with the Read All command or arrow keys, and it is not in the buttons list.
They add: It is read appropriately when tabbed to or when pulling up a list of buttons.

Hi TheOGMike!
Sorry to hear you're having accessibility issues when testing your Storyline course with JAWS!
Using a sample lightbox slide, I tested the playback on my end with JAWS. However, when tabbing to the 'close lightbox' button for the first time, JAWS did announce the label as expected.
- Here's a quick screen recording of how it sounds for me!
Also, I'd like to connect you with our support engineers so they can have a closer look at your setup. I've opened a support case on your behalf and sent you an e-mail with steps on how to share your .story file privately.
We can continue the conversation through your case!

So, JAWS is reading the label for the close button on the 2nd and later attempts to tab to it? I'm at a loss why the screen reader would not detect a readable element and then detect the same readable element, outside of DOM manipulation. Does your slide manipulate the close button in any way?

The vendor says they've encountered the issue in other courses as well. They raised this older post:

However, the solution no longer exists in the text labels.
