Closed Caption Box placement in 360
Hi everyone,
I have some great news to share. We just released another update for Storyline 360. In Update 86, we’ve included important fixes and new features.
One of the new features we’ve included:
- Position captions at the top or bottom of the slide to ensure closed caption visibility and prevent the obstruction of critical course content.
Launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer to take advantage of this update, and click the Update button next to Storyline 360. You’ll find our step-by-step instructions here.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Just reading through all this as I've been trying to use SL360 for closed captioning and find it unusable.
Although I could think about the CC more during a video shoot, it seems absurd to allow for a hugely CC box that cannot be made transparent in anyway. I wont be using SL for CC anytime soon, unless some new feature makes it far more editable.
I love 360 and use it for virtually all my online learning creation. SO it's a bit frustrating that I will have to continue going outside SL/360 to creating video with CC and then import these..
Not ideal!!

I agree with the comments about CC editing and video. I know you are looking feature suggestions with lots of requests to make a case to enhance features, but that's really not the right approach here. The goal is to make courses inclusive of all learners and should be considered because It's the right thing to do, not because it's popular.

Hey Karen
Totally agree about accessibility. I didn't say I wouldn't be using CCs. Just that I'd have to build the video outside SL360 and then bring int back with CCs included. That's what's not ideal.
Thanks
