Closed Caption not appearing in player
Hello! I'm working on transferring our training modules from Storyline to Rise 360. We have scenarios we've created with audio so I need the closed caption available on the player. Some modules that I publish to Review 360 to post into Rise show the closed caption option, while others do not. The players are exactly the same, and the closed caption box is checked on the players that are not showing the closed caption option. I review the scenario prior to publishing it and again, no CC is showing on the player even though it is selected. Why oh why is this happening?? LOL I have looked at every setting I can think of and cannot figure out why the CC is not appearing on some of the scenarios.
Hi Michelle!
It sounds like closed captioning is absent from certain Storyline courses. Sorry to hear that, but I'd be happy to assist!
With your permission, I'd like to take a closer look at one of the affected .story files to test the behavior on our end. Would you be comfortable sharing a copy here in the discussion or privately with our support engineers?
Thank you. Looking forward to hearing from you!

Was this ever resolved? I do not have the closed caption button in my player and can't figure out why.

Hi, Julie. Yes, it was. Turns out the closed caption has to be created within Storyline in order for the closed caption to appear in the player. If you create the closed caption in your training, then you'll see the button and will be able to view the closed caption within your published module. I hope this helps!
