Closed Captioning in Lightbox
I have created some video tutorials and put them into my training with lightbox. I have created captioning for these videos; however, I don't see a way I can enable the captioning for them.
Any tips?
Thank you in advance!

Hi Taylor!
Thanks so much for reaching out. Adding closed captioning is a great tool to make more accessible content for your learners!
This post is similar to your request. Perhaps it will provide you with a helpful solution!
I see you have also created a feature request instead of a support case. I have created a support case on your behalf in order to have our Support Engineers take a closer look at your file.
We'll continue the conversation over in the support case.
Have a great day! 🎉

Hi there, oddly I am having this issue today (4 years later), I have a video in a lightbox and I turned on the cc button but can't see it. I selected the link above, and see that I commented on it years ago LOL! Any chance in classic player this works now or do I still need to do the trigger for player display captions when timeline starts on the slide. I know you are slowly I think phasing out the classic player but we still have many modules in this player, so thought I would check. Cheers
Hello TeresaVanderpos! You're totally right! The Classic Player still works the same way with video lightboxes. Captions won’t show automatically, even if the CC button is on. In that case, you’ll still want to use a trigger like:
- Adjust variable Player.DisplayCaptions to True when the timeline starts on this slide.
Most updates now focus on the Modern Player, so if you're still using the Classic Player, then that is still the workaround!
