Comments in review link are not saved

Hello everyone,

When I add comments in the review link, they are not saved (actually, they disappear on the spot when I click 'comments'). Is this a known bug, or are there other steps I can take to prevent this from happening?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Best regards,
Anne

  • Hi SupportAccount-,

Thanks for bringing this up! This behavior should not be happening. To start, I’d suggest a couple of initial troubleshooting steps:

Give these a try and let us know if the issue persists. We’ll be happy to dig deeper if needed.

  • Hi EricSantos ,

Thanks for your response! By now, this is no longer something that happens to just one person; several team members and clients are affected, so it’s not just a coincidence anymore. To give you a clearer picture:

    • When adding a comment in the review link and clicking Post, the comment initially appears but then disappears within 1–2 minutes. Once it’s gone, it also doesn’t appear in Resolved comments. This means reviewers don’t always realize their feedback has been lost.
    • We’ve confirmed this with multiple users in different situations:
      • Two colleagues on our team (both logged in with Articulate accounts).
      • Two external clients reviewing via email only (not logged in). One of them was a first-time reviewer.
    • In some cases, all comments from one reviewer disappeared, while for another reviewer it was inconsistent (some stayed, some vanished).
    • The issue has occurred across at least two separate Review 360 links, so it’s not isolated to a single course.
    • Capturing screenshots is unfortunately not possible, since the comments do appear initially before they disappear shortly after.

Given the scale and randomness of the issue, it seems unlikely to be related to just cache, cookies, or browser extensions. This is currently blocking us from reliably gathering client feedback, which is critical in our workflow.

    My questions:

    1. Is this a known issue that your team is already tracking or investigating?
    2. What workaround would you recommend so we can continue collecting feedback in the meantime without risking loss of comments?

We’d really appreciate a quick solution or at least a reliable temporary workaround, as our review cycles are ongoing and reviewers are losing trust in the tool when their input disappears.

Thanks in advance for your support and for looking into this more deeply.

    Best regards,
    Charlotte

Hello SupportAccount-! Thanks so much for the added context. We definitely want to help get this sorted out.

This isn’t a known issue in Review 360, so all the details you’ve shared are super helpful. Are there any common threads between the reviewers seeing comments disappear? I know Eric mentioned checking browsers and cache. Are they all using the same browser? And do you happen to know if anyone’s using a VPN?

Since we haven’t seen this reported widely or logged it as a bug yet, we don’t have a specific workaround to offer. But learning more will help us figure out what’s going on and how we can fix it.

Really appreciate you taking the time to dig into this with us.

        Hi Lauren,

Appreciate the help! It seems that over the weekend things have changed:
        - looks like the bug is now isolated to only two of our review links
        - some comments disappear but return (see screenrecording), some disappear for good

We have tried to see if republishing helps, but that is not the case. Trying a different browser doesn't change anything either. The reviewers all used Chrome, but in Edge the same thing happens. No one is using a VPN.

Happy to share the links (in private of course). Please let us know!
