Comparing Pre-Test and Post-Test Results in Rise 360

Hello everyone,

I'm looking to assess the effectiveness of my course by using both a pre-test and a post-test. I would like to know if it's possible to use Rise 360 to compare the results of these tests to measure how much learners have improved. Specifically, can Rise 360 track and display the progress from the pre-test to the post-test for individual learners or in aggregate?

Any advice or suggestions on how to set this up would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

  • Hello Melissa,

    Thanks for reaching out!

Adding pre-tests in Rise 360 isn't currently a supported feature. Although you have the option to add multiple quizzes, there isn't a way to connect the results of these quizzes to compare scores. This type of setup however can be built in Storyline 360.

I added your voice to the feature request we have for adding a pre-test quiz type in Rise 360. We'll let you know if the request makes it to our our product roadmap!

      Hi darcymcg!

      Happy to help with this!

My colleague Allison shared a Storyline example, containing a pre-check, and final evaluation for learners. The template she provided should help get you started with this type of design.

Please keep in mind that Storyline can only send one score to an LMS. You'll need to decide on which grade gets tracked if distributing this course through an LMS. This article goes into further detail on quizzing and tracking options when sending scores from Storyline to an LMS. As well as this user guide, which outlines the process for designing branching paths in Storyline.

I'll also open the floor to our community to share their design suggestions when implementing this type of build!
