Correct/Incorrect banners are not appearing when I review graded quiz

Hi,

Why do I not see the green/red correct/incorrect banners when I click to review the quiz?

I have a Review layer on every quiz slide and the review content appears when I click the Review button on my Results slide. However, no green/red bar at the bottom.

Thanks,

Anne

  • Anything on the Review layer will appear over the built-in Correct and Incorrect banners.

    • Be sure there are no objects blocking the bottom of the slide on those layers.
    • Be sure those layers have a no-fill background. (If the background has a solid fill, that would cover the banners.)
  • Hi Judy,

I do not have any objects near the bottom of the screen on the Review layers.

I'm not sure I understand how to do a "no-fill" background on a layer. I only seem to be able to change the background of the base layer.

In general, do you know where the Review is feature documented?

    Best,

    Anne

  • UPDATE  I think that Storyline is displaying something, but it's not the correct image. Attached are images of the question, and then the question during the review. Clearly something is obscured at the bottom, but instead of the green correct or red incorrect it's just white?

  • If your Review layers don't have filled in their backgrounds, I suggest you upload a copy of the .story file for further troubleshooting.

To help anyone who might do the troubleshooting, you should do this to the copy before uploading it:

    • Delete slides not involved in the issue.
    • Remove any proprietary text.
    • Give meaningful names to objects involved in the issue.

Thanks again Judy!! I've gone ahead and set the Background of the Feedback Master to No fill, but it's still not displaying the Correct and Incorrect bars. I will follow up with Support.

  • Update-- I have found the answer thanks to one of the Articulate Support Engineers (Thanks Lejan!)

The support engineer looked at my file and realized it was because my custom theme on those slides was displaying the banners as white. I changed the theme on those slides to one of the standard themes, and now the bar appears.

  • Glad to hear that Lejan was able to help you in your support case, Anne! 🎉

Thanks for sharing your workaround in this thread. I know it will be helpful to others who come across this post in the future!

Have a great day, and happy developing!

Thanks Luciana! I knew something was up with the color of the bars, but I didn't think of the themes!!
