Course Exit Button not working with timed Quiz

Hello everybody,

It seems there is a bug with the Quiz View.

The Course Exit button is not clickable when I am viewing the Quiz Lesson type if a timer is defined.

 

When viewing a Quiz without a Timer or a normal Lesson everything works fine.

The only difference I noticed at a quick glance is that the button is positioned absolute when there is a timer and otherwise not.

 

I don't know if this is due to a recent change with the exporter or if that bug has always been there since this is the first time I used a timer in a quiz.

 

I am exporting to SCORM 1.2 for a Moodle LMS v.4.1.20+ with whatever the current version of RISE is, since I tested it with a today exported package.

 

Hope you can help with that or let me know if i did something wrong.

    Hey,

    It was tested on recent chrome and firefox browsers.

    Moodle opens scorm packages in a popup window similar to scorm cloud.

     

    I have tested it on scorm cloud now and the issue persists.

     

    I can't share original file but I have created a new test scorm file where i reproduced the issue, which i have upoaded to the support system via the provided link.

      Thanks for following up!

      I see that your support case has been received by my teammate, Luiza. As she shared, we have this behavior logged as a bug in Rise 360. This bug causes:

      • The Exit Course link does not close out of a course if:
        • The Quiz Lesson has a timer; or
        • The learner is currently on a Quiz section or a Quiz Results section.

       

      I've linked this discussion to the bug report that's being tracked, so we can notify you as soon as a fix is ready. In the meantime, as a workaround, we suggest:

      • Disabling the Quiz Timer; or
      • Add a Lesson after the Quiz, as this issue only occurs when the Quiz is the final element of a course.

    Hi JeremySchulz,

    Thanks for reaching out about this and including a screenshot!

    I have a few questions to help me better understand what's going on.

    • What browser are you using? Have you tried a different browser?
    • Is your course opening in a separate window or within your LMS?
    •  Have you tested the course in SCORM Cloud? 

    If you're willing to share your file, I'd be happy to test it in SCORM Cloud as well. If it works there, there may be a setting within the LMS that can be adjusted. If the issue persists, we'd want to take a closer look at your file!
