Course functionality issue in the LMS Success Factor
I have developed an e-learning module with 90 slides (including videos) and a quiz. The module is working fine in the LMS SCORM Cloud and our internal LMS Moodle. The status has been set to Passed/Incomplete, and I have provided the 'Prompt to resume' functionality.
But our client uses Success Factor it isn't working properly in the LMS. The slides are getting stuck, and the user cannot move the course forward/backwards in between. They have identified that the slides getting stuck in between are different for different users.
My client needs SCORM 1.2 version for their LMS. We have tried publishing the module in different software versions, but the client still faces the same issue.
Kindly check and let me know if anything can be done.
Hi Amal, and thanks for reaching out!
I'm sorry to hear that you're client is experiencing this issue, but I'm happy to help troubleshoot.
- Please see this article about troubleshooting LMS Issues.
- Have you tried testing the course in SCORM Cloud? Since the course is working correctly in a different LMS, such as Moodle, I recommend reaching out to SuccessFactors for further assistance.
Additionally, here are a couple of ELH threads that cover SuccessFactors:
I hope this helps!

Hi Kelly,
We are facing a new issue in the SCORM file where the restricted version and free versions are behaving differently. One of our clients is using Success Factor LMS and they have uploaded both restricted and free versions to the LMS. The surprising factor is, the restricted version is getting logged out every 5 minutes automatically (auto exit), whereas the free version works without any issues. What could be the reason for this abnormality, kindly share your valuable input to overcome this issue.
Hi Santosh,
Thanks for your message! Just a note that Kelly replied to you here.

I've had a problem with Scorm 1.2 and large courses. It may be the issue listed below:
The maximum length of the “suspend_data” string in SCORM 1.2 is 4096 bytes which may not be enough to store all the progress information from your learners' activities within an LMS database system. This limit could result in unexpected errors during resuming features such as bookmarking or quiz attempts if exceeded.
Hi Richard,
That sounds about right! One issue that is common for courses published in SCORM 1.2 involves the suspend_data exceeding its limit for larger courses. You can read more about this issue here, as well as possible solutions that you can apply to your course:
