Customised Scenarios

Hi Heroes,

Hoping someone can help me with something?

I'm looking to switch out some of the Articulate stock characters in the scenario block for our own people, which I know how to do and have replaced and overrode in the SCORM file.

The problem I'm having is that next step of converting it back to compressed SCORM file you add to the LMS. My thinking was I could just compress the extracted folder once all the updates had been made, but that then adds another folder (that isn't in the original SCORM) which I think will impact its functionality when uploaded to the LMS.

I've seen a video from Tom Khulman which showed how to replace the images, which was super helpful, but didn't show the next step of repackaging back up. I also saw another video in a post, which did show that repackaging, but doesn't appear to be working for me.

Any tips and trick for what to do once the images have been replaced and how to repackage back up for deployment in the LMS will be greatly appreciated!

    Hello NeilForrest-ea7,

    Good question! It is possible to replace image files inside a Rise SCORM folder, but editing and repackaging the output is not officially supported. Even small folder changes can stop the course from uploading or playing correctly in your LMS.

    If you try it anyway, make sure the ZIP’s root contains index.html and imsmanifest.xml, not a nested folder. For a supported option, you could rebuild the scenario in Storyline 360 using your own characters and then add it to Rise as a Storyline block.

    I have shared your request with our product team for more flexibility with scenario characters in Rise.
