December 2025 Importing PP Freezes Storyline
On Monday, I attempted to import a 23-slide PowerPoint into Storyline. Initially, it appeared to be working, but then it froze and never completed. I had to use Task Manager to end the Storyline process and also stop PowerPoint running in the background. I’ve even reverted to versions as far back as July, but with no success. Three of my colleagues are experiencing the same issue. Has anyone else run into this? I was able to import a file without any problems just a couple of weeks ago.

- Are you importing the PPT from a shared/OneDrive location, or from your local system?
- Is there some unusual font used in the PPT?
- What other programs are running in the background?
I would start with a full system reboot (shutdown, wait 10 minutes [just long enough for the coffee to finish!], then restart); then close everything except Storyline. Make sure the PPT file is on your local system. If the file still does not import, contact Articulate and open a support case. You may have found another previously unidentified gotcha. (Or "bug.")

I have tried both One Drive and local drive. Same results. Font is all Arial. Rebooted, our IT even cleaned my hard drive. Three other colleagues are having the same issue
