Hi Tricia,
After some more tinkering, I think I may have found a solution. Here's what I did:
1. In the root folder, rename story_html5.html to story_html5.aspx (same way as you would have already changed story.html to story.aspx)
2. Then, in the story.aspx file, change the reference from story_html5.html to story_html5.aspx
I've tested in IE, Edge and Chrome, and it seems to be working everywhere now.

Thanks for taking the time to share these details. I appreciate it.

When we publish a project using the Articulate Presenter plugin in PowerPoint, upload the presentation file to Sharepoint (and change the html5 to aspx), the file downloads when clicked on the link, instead of just playing within SharePoint.
When we publish with Articulate Storyline directly, and upload the story to Sharepoint (still changing the name to an .aspx file), it doesn't download. It just plays.
We notice the file names are "presentation" versus "story". Could that be the issue? Also, the link the file in sharepoint has the word "download" in it ,when it was published originally through the Articulate powerpoint plugin.
I'm working with a very experienced Articulate user on our team, and he has not seen this before either...he's never upload though a file published through the Articulate Presenter powerpoint (which creates a presentation file) plugin though, only Articulate proper (which creates a story file.
Here is what Sharepoint creates as the link to the .aspx file:
https://tysononline.sharepoint.com/sites/Source/WorkdayLearning/_layouts/15/download.aspx?UniqueId=afb924e986ee436d880a5e24fd7657b9&e=J0cKRLYou can see in there an "instruction" (I suppose) to download. My guess is that that instruction should not be there if we want it to play directly in Sharepoint.
But for courses published in Articulate proper, when uploaded to Sharepoint, the link the .aspx file looks like this, as an example:
https://tysononline.sharepoint.com/:u:/r/sites/Source/WorkdayLearning/Simulation%20Folders/HMSCOM122%20Propose%20Annual%20Salary%20Review%20-%20Storyline%20output/story_html5.aspx?csf=1&e=wRiP78No "download" in the URL.
Any ideas or solves very appreciated! - HollyHookCommunity Member
Hi all,
These posts are several years old. Before trying this out, does this method still work to share RISE360 and Storyline course to sharepoint?
Thanks!Holly

Hi Ryan,
You might be able to use Articulate published content with your Sharepoint server, but it's not something we'd be able to support. You'll need to switch to "Explorer View" in Sharepoint before uploading your published output as explained in this older forum post. Perhaps someone else has more recent experience using Sharepoint with Storyline who may be able to offer you more help. Good luck!

3 year old post, but I have the same issue. I think I figured out the problem. When bulk importing into sharepoint, it does not automatically check in the files. I had to check them ALL in. Once I did this, my users could view the training videos.

Hmm, I don't know if our implementation of SP is set up in some special way (I don't think so) but I've never had any trouble loading Articulate Presenter or Storyline by dragging the output files to a SP folder. Are you publishing for Web? And make sure you are dragging all 4 items (story_content folder, meta.xml, story.html file, and the story.swf) into the same folder in SP. And then launching from the story.html file.

Thank you for your support.. I am still not able to add the story.swf as I can't view it .. It appears as a blank page. Gerry? is there code that you can provide to show me how this is done?
Thanks.

I came across this thread hoping that it would help -- I had the same question as the original poster.
I have set everything up exactly as you've suggested. When I open the story.html page, however, the player does not launch. Instead, my browser prompts me to save the file. I have the same results using numerous browsers and multiple computers. I can confirm that I have published for Web and that I have dragged all folders/files in Explorer view to a SharePoint site that I'm the owner of.
Is there anything in the publishing procedure that I'm missing?

Bill,
You can search for the ".swf" Story file, after you have uploaded the files, and it should display properly for you. I just had the same issue and this worked! You will just copy the link and send it to whoever you wish to view it.

You saved my life! SharePoint 2013 manages html files in a distinct way for security reasons but they are more permisible with flash files, while this has not any sense you found a great solution
Thanks so much!

^ Megan's solution worked for me. The SharePoint URL ends with story.swf
