Drag and drop object snapping
Hi all!
I need some advice on how to set up a drag and drop interaction I'm working on (my SL file is attached).
I want the learner to drag the Hub logo image ('Drop Item - Hub Logo') to the spot they think it should be positioned in on the matrix.
The correct answer is the logo should be dropped in the upper left hand quadrant - this is indicated by a transparent rectangle I created called 'Drop Location - Correct'.
I also created two other transparent rectangles (called 'Drop Location - Incorrect 1' and 'Drop Location - Incorrect 2' - one small and one large, which take up the remainder of the matrix area). I set these up so I could set a trigger to change the state of the Submit button to Normal when the user has dropped the logo.
Question: How can I set it so the logo doesn't snap to a particular location when the user drops it on either of the two Incorrect drop locations? In the Drag & Drop Options, I have tried all the Drop Target Options, and even tried deselecting this altogether, but the logo still seems to snap to either the centre or another location within the Incorrect drop locations.
I thought if I set it to 'Free' (under Snap dropped items to drop target) that would mean wherever the user has dropped it is where it will stay, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
Any advice is greatly appreciated!
thanks

Free can work for you. However, it looks like not only were the question properties were changed, but at some point the drag and drop shape properties were manually adjusted. If you right click your shapes, you need to choose FREE under drag and drop here. This setting overrides what you had set in Question tools
