Duplicate of button doesn't work as a seperate instance?

I created a button and duplicated it 2 more times (3 in total), I have renamed each button, put different text on the button in the states and all of the buttons basically act as the original. If I try to and a trigger to one of the duplicates it applies it as if it is the origin button instance????
