End course Triggers for storyline published for the web

Hi there! 😊 I'm new to Storyline 360 and I'm figuring out how to do the following:

  1. Put the course on a webpage.
  2. Have learners take a quiz after finishing the course.
  3. If they pass, send them an email with a certificate.

Can I do all of this by publishing the Storyline project for the web and hosting it on our website?

Thank you so much for your suggestions!

The most popular solution to your ask in loading your Storyline course into a learning management system (LMS), as certificates are one of the popular features of most LMS. Moodle is one (of many) options. Storyline, by itself, cannot natively support item #3.

  • Hello Nivana,

    Thanks for reaching out!

Can you clarify how you'd like to put your course on a webpage? Are you trying to embed a published Storyline 360 course on a webpage that you are currently adminstrating? If so, will you be embedding it as an iframe?

Having learners take a quiz at the end of a course is fairly easy to do - this will all just depend on the placement of the quiz in your course as well as the navigation triggers that lead up to it. As for emailing a certificate, there isn't a built-in function that would allow you to do this, but you can check out this guide on how to design a certificate using the 'report.html' file that is included in the published output, have your learners print it as a PDF, and then manually email the certificate to you.

I'll let other members of the talented community chime in in case they have other solutions that you can try out!
