Publish SL360 as Videos - Triggers and Layers
Hello Everyone,
My project has 1 slide with 7 slide layers and they will be played in sequence (Main layer --> the 1st slide layer --> the 2nd one, etc.) . No triggers/buttons require users to click. When I preview it, it plays well. However, after I publish it as video, it only play the man slide with the very first trigger.
Is this something I shouldn't do with SL 360?
Appreciate any suggestions.

Hi Yoldana,
Happy to look into this for you!
I've attached a sample project file which when published as a video, will show a slide and then it's succeeding 7 layers in sequential order in the video output. You can try setting up your slide to mirror the slide in my project to see if this works for you.
If your setup is different, would you be willing to share a copy of your project file here or in private by opening a support case so we can take a look at which triggers you are using? We'll delete it when we're done testing!

I found out that this works as long as the triggers are "When timeline completes on this layer" Before I tried this, I found that "When media completes" and "When variable changes" are not picked up when Publishing to video, even though they both work fine in Preview.
I'm not sure why Publish to video doesn't use the same process as Preview, because it's quite frustrating given how long it takes for it to spit out even a short video.
Hello AlexDillard,
I appreciate you sharing your frustration. You're experiencing a different processing time because of the frame rate while publishing. Publishing to video runs at 30 frames per second (fps). When folks preview or publish for Web, LMS, or Review 360, the browser controls the frame rate at 60 fps. That's why everything feels faster and smoother there!
