Everything we know about Cornerstone on Demand and Storyline!
Does anyone have experiencing using CSOD's deep link feature within a storyline course? We're finding that our deep links work fine outside of a SCORM course, but don't when used inside a course.

Hi Tracy, as Will Findlay said, try using the URL shortening service. Cornerstone CSOD links include spaces and other special characters dilineated as "%20" in the URL. Usually, the browser will translate this into a "%20" or space as needed. However, Storyline URLs are translated literally, so these special characters don't get translated as they should. Cornerstone doesn't recognize it, so directly deep-linking wouldnt' work. The URL shortening will get the job done!

Nice to know the why! Thanks.

We found the problem when using the CSOD deep links is that they are 265 (or 266) characters long but Microsoft was only passing 256 characters back to the LMS. Don't know if that came into play in your situation or not.

Yes - that was the problem, so we used bit.ly to shorten our deep links.
