Your image looks similar to an issue that we are looking into.
I see that Will is unable to replicate with his iPad/iPhone, which also points to the issue we are seeing.
Curious if you're running into the same thing, so two questions:
- Are you using Modern Player
- Are you viewing on an Android Device
Let me know and I'd be happy to get this conversation added to the report as well if needed.

I am using the Modern Player, the Cornerstone App, and am viewing on an Android Device. I may be mistaken, but it appears that Will is using the browser on the iPad and not the Cornerstone App. If that helps :-)
I was unable to replicate the translucent bar on iPad, but I had a different problem in that the content did not scale correctly. It was always cut off on the right side of the screen when viewing directly through Safari on iPad.

Can you verify the update that you are currently using for Storyline 360?
I see that we had a fix for a similar issue go out in Build 3.17.16168.0, and we've released another update since then as well.
