Export to XLIFF 2.0 File in Rise
Hi,
Is there a plan to update Rise to export XLIFF 2.0 files? My translation vendor will be requiring this version.
Thank you!

Any news on XLIFF 2.1?

Hello at all,
we also need XLIFF 2.1 to translate the files directly with DeepL. At the moment we use OmegaT with an Okapi Plugin and a DeepL API to translate the files semi-automatic but this is not a nice workaround. Please develop an export for XLIFF 2.1 or another export file like .xlsx or .docx so that we can directly use DeepL for translation. - PierreClavei642Community Member
Hello,
Please share a workaround if you have, it would be very helpful
At Articulate staff, please consider this as an URGENT development need on your side for your clients and tell us when it will be available.
Best regards

Is there a solution or workaround available to get an xliff 2.1 version? I have over 200 rise courses I need to translate with DeepL.....

I found a workaround which let's you translate Rise courses with Deepl. Please feel free to reach out - I'd be happy to help.

Definitely interested!
Could you share how you manage this?- NicoSchriever-7Community Member
I'd love to share it here, but I want to follow the forum rules and not link to external pages.
Basically I built a tool that connects to Deepl and let's you translate the courses very easily.
Can you please reach out to me via email or LinkedIn?

how are you doing it?
- NicoSchriever-7Community Member
I built a tool which uses the Deepl translation engine to directly translate the XLIFF 1.2 file for you. I'd be happy to show it to anybody who is interested.

I would be interested on your workaround. We use Deepl. We are having more and more courses needing translation.

Download XLIFF Manager and run your file through there to convert it to 2.1. Then run through deepL. Then merge it back into XLIFF Manager and click all three radio buttons on the bottom. Once it opens in notepad, select all and copy and then go back to the original RISE file and paste it in. It should now be ready to put back in RISE

Hi, is there any update when Rise will be able to export XLIFF to 2.1
screening through the forum I can see that it is an open topic for years. How a company like rise, considered as one if not the top solution for content creation is not up to date ?
thank you for your feedback and even more a quick implementation of an updated version. Thank youHi Marc,
Thank you for your feedback. I've added your voice to the feature request that we are currently tracking, and we'll let you know when this gets added to our product roadmap.

DEEPL is probably the best translating tool around, are there any news on this update? The thread has been quiet for over a year.
