Formatting won't show up in states when I preview or publish

Sorry to hear you've run into this setback!

To clarify, does this issue occur across all fonts or is it specific to one? Also, it would be helpful to see a copy of your .story file and test the behavior on our end. Feel free to upload a copy here in the discussion or privately through a support case.

In the meantime, I found a related discussion where another user worked around this issue by using static fonts instead of variable.

Hi it would be amazing if you could have a look and see if you can suggest why its happening. So if you do the quiz, the states of the answer box change to one or the other. The first 2 or 3 are formatted ok .. but after that there are not bolds etc displayed. Although when you look in edit states you'll see that I have put formatting in..
the font is work sans. I don't usually have an issue with it
