Gost alternate text in the translation document

Articulate Storyline 360 is adding alternate text to the translation document that doesn't exist in the source file. Specifically, the Alt text for "SUBMIT_BT 1" in the translation document changes to "Environmental Risk," even though this text is not present in the current source file.

Notably, "Environmental Risk" was previously the name of a button in another source file from the same course series.

Since slides and interactions are copied and pasted between courses, could there be a software cache that needs to be cleared?

  • Hi MikeImage

Thanks for reaching out! I went ahead and tested your file on my end. I see the same behavior you mentioned with the "Environmental Risk" alt text populating in the exported Word Doc.

I've gone ahead and opened a support case on your behalf. I'd like our talented Support Engineers to take a closer look and investigate this further!

We'll continue the conversation over in your case.

    Have a great afternoon!

Note: Clearing the application cache did not resolve the issue.

I don't think much can be done about it, as the 'Environmental Risk' text still appears to be present. The button has obviously undergone many changes, with additional shapes being added, making it difficult to remove the original source of the 'Environmental Risk' text and the ALT text that was originally present in the Normal state.

The best approach to fixing the issue would be to create a new shape and use the Format Painter to make it resemble the old button.

Please check the attached .story file and confirm whether the issue has been resolved in the translation document.
