Help using slider as scrolling background - linked to dial

Hey All,

I recently watched Dave's Webinar on Using Dial to Create Custom Navigation in Storyline 360 and I am having a few issues.

I have created the dial and the slider and they linked perfectly. I have customised the thumb on the slider to the image (a few icons) that I want to scroll in the background as the learner uses the dial.

However, for the life of me, I cannot get the images to go to the same place (centred to slide) at each point.

I have set the dial to 360, starting at 0 with one step, slider exactly the same. There are 8 layers, each are full after 45. ( I have set the layer to show at 10 either side of this to allow for non accuracy).

I have tried multiple different image sizes, played around with the size of the slider, everything I can think of.

Can anyone help?

I have attached the file to this post in the hopes that someone can help!

  • I think you are short by one image/icon. Including the BASE Layer, I have counted 9 layers, but only 8 icons. I think this is why they gradually start to misalign.

HA! Great spot! Apparently I can't count now 😂 I knew it would be something simple like that! Thanks so much Sam!
