How do I take a slide layer from one story, and make it a slide of its own in another story?

The title says it all, pretty much: how do I take a slide layer from one story, and make it a slide of its own in another story file? I'm a relatively inexperienced user, and I'm still at the sta...

Actually, you can't make the layer into the base layer, but on the layer, you can CTRL-A to select all, and CTRL-C to copy everything. Switch to the base, and CTRL-V to paste everything from the layer to the base. You may find that some of the triggers now say unassigned, so you will need to go through and reassign them, but it's fairly easy and intuitive.

    Hi Walt,
    Is there a way to do this while preserving the timing of the on the new slide?

    I tried this on my own, but when I paste, all of the items on the timeline (player head at 0s) end up flush-left aligned with the player head. It doesn't give me the option to group them all.

      Hi AndrewKrahn​,

      Yes! Instead of Ctrl-V, right-click on the slide and select Paste Special. From there, you'll be able to select what properties to keep (including the timing).
