how to fit my 16:9 designed project on my webpage ... slide dead space

Can someone tell me please how to fit my project on my web page? I used a slide ratio of 16:9 and on the webpage the right side of the project is not visible. I tried extending the page margin to 650 but that did not help.  When I set my slide ratio to 16:9 it set up as 960 x 540. Is this correct? In the older Storylines 16:9 was 720 x 405??? I've been using SL3, but have upgraded to SL360. I tried publishing it in the new program, but the results are the same. You can see in the attached slide the Print button and tip of forward arrow are cut off, though in preview mode everything looks fine? Should I reset the 16:9 to the 720 ratio or ??? Any suggestions - other than resizing to 4:3? MEGA thanks!

Also, when I upgraded to 360 I thought perhaps the dead space at the bottom of the slides would be eliminated. Alas, when I previewed my project in the player without the volume button enabled the dead space is still there. Are there plans to fix this? Due to the international scope of our projects I am currently not using audio or video so the button is not needed. THANKS !!

    Hi Sylvia...

In the "DESIGN" tab, I set my dimensions in the "Slide Size Setup" icon. (See attachment 1.)

Slide sizes I believe is dependent on the course set up on various LMS platforms. So I do not think there is a one size fits all solution. Other developers mentioned to take into account of the browser used to accommodate tabs and pixel widths of components like the browser bar and such.

Regardless, from what I have been working with, I have set my dimensions to 1890 x 944 width. (See attachment 2.)

I hope this helps. I am sure some other people from the community have their preferences.

    Cheers,

    David

  • Thank you David. I'll look at your files, but I don't think this will help me fit the current project on the web page. Resetting the dimensions will mean reformatting a LOT, if not all, of the slides in the project. I'm hoping there is something I can do on the webpage to fit the entire frame on the page :(.
