How to open .story examples?
You can download Storyline here to access the trial.

Sorry, forgot to mention I've already downloaded, and paid for, Storyline. I've tried many of the functions, made some slides, tried redesigning the feedback slides, fiddled around with triggers, layers and states, watched about 30 videos on Youtube, etc. Still can't open the .story files on the Articulate site.

Hi Joseph
some systems download the .story file as a zipped package. If you extract the file you should see the .story file. Right click the .story file and open with Articulate Storyline

Hi Wendy,
Thanks for your reply. I clicked on some .story files and was instantly sent to an html page with symbols similar to the ones in my original post. Is it possible that some files are too old (over three years) and no longer compatible with the lastest version of Storyline? Here is one page I visited recently: https://community.articulate.com/discussions/articulate-storyline/adding-feedback-to-drag-and-drop-without-submit-button-or-player. The file "draganddrop.story" gives me gibberish whether I click once, or twice, or right-click and save.
